Making a creative

Live

The row at the foot of the Library — what it holds, and how a run is built.

Everything is made from one row, resting at the foot of the Library. It is not a second place — same screen, same grid, same selection. At rest it offers what you can make; pick one and it grows into the run, already set to something that works. Generate, and the results land in the grid you were just looking at.

This guide covers the creation flow end to end. Use the recipe pages when you need an exact playbook for a specific output, such as a lifestyle image or product video.

How a run works

  1. Tick a product, or any images, in the Library — they become the run’s subjects. You can also open an act first and pick subjects from inside it.
  2. Choose what to make on the creation row: Image, Animate, or 3D. The row also offers Edit or Configure for the asset you have open, and Review when a campaign in scope has work waiting.
  3. The run opens already set to something that works — your subjects, a preset, your active Brand Tone, and sensible output settings. Change whatever you like: the preset, your own words, the aspect ratio, how many results.
  4. Generate. The output readout beside the button carries the exact credit cost, and results stream into the Library as they finish — marked so you can spot the new arrivals.

The parts of a run

The row is the same instrument on every act, and the acts open different decks — Animate adds the frame, blend and footage inputs a still does not need, and 3D carries controls alone. Press any part of the figure to see what it holds, and switch act to see what changes. Every part has a working default, so a run is always one press away.

Press any part of the row to see what it holds. Switch act above — Animate and 3D open different decks.

The creation row — switch act, and press any part to see what it holds
PartWhat it holds
ProductsThe run's scope — one product, several, or a campaign's. Its panel also holds Add product names to prompts, worth keeping on when a product is visually ambiguous or shares the frame with other objects.
ImagesThe pool the run draws from. Its panel holds the sourcing mode — the images you picked, each product's primary image, or all of its gallery photos — plus what is in the run and what can be added. You can upload a photo of your own; it joins the product's images.
First and last frame (video only)Video only, and it stands in the images' place: the frame the video starts on, the frame it lands on, and the arrow between them. The arrow swaps the two, and it carries the wider choice — an ordered pair, where the video travels from one frame to the other, or an unordered set of references feeding one video.
Blend (video only)Video only. Another state of the same zone: several images become ONE video instead of one video each. A blended run has no frame to land on, so pinning an end frame puts the choice back the other way.
Footage in (video only)Video only. Another state of the same zone: rework a video you already have instead of animating a still. Footage stands in the frames' place entirely — neither frame applies — and it is picked from the scoped product's own videos.
Fit forWho the run is for and where it is headed — delivery channel, platform, your industry. Every pick is soft: it sorts suited presets to the front, fills in the aspect ratio once, and warns beside Generate. Nothing is hidden or locked.
PresetThe creative intent, riding the head of the prompt line as a chip. Its knobs hang off the chip, grouped by what they change. A dot on the chip means this preset has been adjusted off its defaults.
Your wordsThe free line: describe what you want instead of picking a preset, or add a detail on top of one. What you type is never folded away when the preset row opens and closes.
Reference imagesImages that set the look for every result in the run. They are added from the line's tail and are separate from the images the run is made FROM — those live in the subject header.
The preset rowThe presets themselves, opened from the chip. Your own saved presets lead the row and Mocart's follow, with Create preset at the head — saving a look is where your own collection begins.
Brand toneWhich saved tone the run renders in. It leads the make row because it applies to everything the run makes.
Output & costOne readout holding the act, the aspect ratio, how many results and per what — with the exact credit cost at its tail. Opening it is also where you switch act once the deck is already open.
GenerateStarts the run. It is icon-only here: the readout beside it already names what you are making, so a label would say it twice. If your balance cannot cover the run it says so up front and offers an upgrade rather than failing halfway.
3D controls (3D only)3D only. The model pipeline takes no preset and no prompt, so this deck carries its controls alone. The scene itself — goal, backdrop, lighting, pose, finish — is configured in the inspector after the model exists.

Subjects: what a run is made from

The header above the run controls reads as one sentence — for these products, from these images — and each half opens into its own controls:

  • The products — the run’s scope. One product, several, or a campaign’s. Keep Add product names to prompts on when a product is visually ambiguous or appears with other objects.
  • The images — the pool the run draws from: the ones you ticked, each product’s primary image, or all of its gallery photos. You can also upload a photo of your own — it joins the product’s images and starts the run.
  • How results count — a run makes N results per product or N per asset, and the readout says which before you commit. Editing runs are one per clip: every selected video gets its own edit.

What fills that sentence is decided in order, so a run always has something to work from without you setting it up first:

  1. Whatever you have ticked in the grid. Ticking is the deliberate gesture, and it always wins.
  2. If nothing is ticked, the creative you have open in the inspector stands in — which is why pressing an act while looking at something runs on that thing. Tick anything and the ticks take over.
  3. If nothing is ticked and nothing is open, the run falls back to what the grid is currently showing — a product you have scoped to, or a campaign’s products.

Create an image

Image creation is the best first step when you need a clean key visual, a better product frame, or a stronger starting point for video.

ControlUse it for
PresetChoose the creative intent — for example Packshot, Lifestyle, UGC, Feature Demo, Material Quality, Hook & Benefit, Sensory KV, or a seasonal preset. You can also save your own.
Your own wordsDescribe the visual result you want: setting, composition, product treatment, props, cast, caption, or any correction to the source image.
Reference imagesAdd images that set the look for every result in the run — a style cue, or a specific detail to preserve.
Brand TonePick the saved tone this run should render in, so the output matches your brand look, finish, and atmosphere.

Animate

Animate turns your strongest still into video — or reworks a video you already have. Describe motion instead of restating the whole scene; the same preset carries over, so the video stays consistent with the image concept.

ControlUse it for
Animate promptDescribe camera movement, subject action, lighting movement, or the product behavior you want to see.
First & last frame / ReferencesWith several images, choose how they make the video: start on the first and land on the last, or feed them all in as references with no landing frame.
End imagePin the frame the video lands on — or loop it back to the start for a seamless repeat.
Use a video as inputDescribe a change and rework a clip you already have. If the product has no footage yet, animate an image first.
Duration4, 6, or 8 seconds. Free accounts are capped at the shortest; some frame modes require 8 seconds.
Resolution & audioPick the resolution available to your plan. Longer, higher-resolution video costs more credits; generated audio is included at no extra cost.

What a run costs

Every generation spends credits from your monthly allowance, and the creation row shows the exact cost before you press Generate — the last token of the output readout, reflecting the count, duration, and resolution you picked. If the balance can’t cover a run, Generate says so up front and offers an upgrade instead of failing halfway. See Credits for the rates behind those numbers.

Results and iteration

Generation is iterative, and the Library is built for it. Results land beside their sources, the newest work leads, and anything you make can feed the next run:

  • Open a result in the inspector to see it large, compare it with the original product photo, and act on it — deliver, publish, or send it into a campaign.
  • Use a generated image as the next run’s subject when it gets the product or composition closer to what you want.
  • Run it again, or import a result’s recipe, when the direction is right but the output needs another pass.

Edit what you made

The creation row’s contextual slot works on the asset you have open, and each kind gets its own tool:

  • Images — Edit opens crop and annotate: three tools — crop, text, and brush — with a colour to draw in. A saved edit becomes reference material for future runs.
  • Video — Edit opens the timeline at the bottom of the screen, with the playing video beside it. Eight tools: arrange clips, trim, crop, set the aspect ratio for the whole composition, boomerang, captions, overlays, and audio. Clips can be split, reordered, duplicated and reversed. Overlays come in four kinds — image, text, video, and cut-out — each on its own lane. Audio can be pulled from an existing video, taken from the royalty-free library, or uploaded, and the source video's own sound can be muted. An edited video is still just a video — deliver it, attach it, or run it again.
  • 3D — Configure opens the scene panel: goal, backdrop, lighting, pose, and finish.
Mocart video editing is for commerce-ready cleanup, not advanced post-production. Use it to prepare the asset for delivery, not to rebuild the creative from scratch.

Finish or scale up

When the creative is ready, deliver it directly, publish it back to your store, or attach it to a campaign. And nothing about the run changes when you scale it — tick ten products instead of one and it is Bulk Generation: the same subjects, the same preset, the same button.
